Combining the love for my dogs and some medical background, I gathered some essential items to have handy in the event of another “doggie disaster.”

Quite a few (not all) of the first aid kits I’ve purchased, or considered purchasing lacked the “essence of the purpose.”

Adhesive bandages have little effect in the event of an emergency. 2x2, or 4x4 gauze dressing are not practical unless you have a large amount of them in the event of an emergency.

First aid instructions, should be reminders, and a means of focusing and calming yourself during the emergency—and should never take the place of a first aid training program.

First aid kits should be complete and available for EMERGENCIES.
